Solidarity day with children from the Jordan Valley

We joined dozens of activists from different movements in Ein al-Baida, where we organized activities for more than 100 children from villages across the area. The children enjoyed puppet shows, …clown performances, water and sports games, and received gifts and school supplies to help them start the new school year.

At a time when Palestinian children’s right to education is constantly threatened, we wanted to create a moment of joy and support the resilience of their families. When their education is disrupted, limited or denied by settler attacks, checkpoints and financial constraints, we stand with them.

We demand that the Israeli government uphold its obligations as the occupying power and take every necessary step to ensure that Palestinian children’s right to education is respected.

20 YEARS OF NONVIOLENT JOINT RESISTANCE

20 YEARS OF NONVIOLENT JOINT RESISTANCE
20 years ago, Israeli ex-soldiers who had served in the occupied territories and Palestinian ex-combatants, some of whom had spent years in prison, decided to overcome their fear and prejudice …toward one another. They met, listened to each other’s perspectives, and chose to build a nonviolent movement together.

20 years later, Combatants for Peace has grown into a movement with strong women’s leadership and hundreds of young Palestinians and Israelis who have gone through our educational programs to become activists.

We have stood alongside dozens of Palestinian communities under threat through community work, tree planting, olive harvests, and protective presence. We have organized dozens of demonstrations to protest human rights violations and the injustices of life under occupation. We have mourned victims on both sides and created space to commemorate the Nakba through our annual joint memorial ceremonies.

20 years later, we are still working together, resisting the occupation, and creating the conditions for a better future for all.

We were just shot at!
We took nonviolent action to show our solidarity with Palestinians from Beit Sahour facing attempts by settlers to take over their land. Our action was met with extreme violence, as …settlers fired live ammunition in our direction. When they arrived, the Israeli soldiers forced us to leave — and allowed the settlers to stay.

Our presence in the field is important. You can help us by spreading the word, supporting our work, and donating to our movement.

We stood in solidarity with Beit Sahour landowners
We answered the call of landowners in Beit Sahour whose lands have been invaded by settlers from the nearby Yatziv outpost.

Nearly 100 of our Israeli and Palestinian activists provided protective …
presence and did community work to support the locals. Together, we replaced Israeli and Jewish symbols placed by settlers on these private Palestinian lands with flags of solidarity, partnership, and hope.

We also planned on planting trees and cleaning the fields but immediately when we arrived, heavily armed settlers opened fire in our direction to force us to leave. The army quickly intervened, not to stop the settlers, but to push our group of activists and journalists out of the area, while the settlers were allowed to stay.

Jamil Could Lose His Home
Jamil, the Palestinian Community Coordinator at Combatants for Peace, has spent years working alongside communities confronting the threat of displacement. Last week, that reality became deeply personal when his own …home was placed at risk.

On July 13, officials from the Israeli Civil Administration came to his house in Al-Khader and hand him a stop-work order. That day, 22 other homes received this notice in his neighborhood. Now, he has until July 29 to gather documents, opening a legal file, and preparing for a procedure whose outcome remains uncertain. Stop-work orders are usually the first step of a process that often ends with the demolition of the house.

Support Jamil, his neighbors, and the many communities facing the unimaginable threat of displacement. Share with people around you.

We accompanied Sinjil residents to their farmlands, which they have not been able to access in three years due to systematic attacks by settlers.
With our activists by their side, …
they plowed the fields and took care of their olive trees. We will continue to support the resilience of Palestinian communities under threats of violence and displacement.Show More
